One bad day, one awesome husband

So it has been a while since I posted. Life has been busy, especially since Christmas is in 5 sleeps.
The weekend of Dec. 9th Jason and I went down to Ottawa to see the Sens play. It was awesome to see an NHL game and Jason enjoyed his birthday present. Because we didn't want to drive all the way back on sunday from Ottawa we decided to drive to Sudbury after the game. The game started at 3pm so we had enough time to get back to Sudbury by 11:30pm. We did have an agenda for coming back early. You see Vanessa's birthday happened to be the very next day AND the Lansing Christmas concert was also that day. So we got to see the concert and have a Jakola's style birthday for Vanessa, including Dairy Queen cake, sweet eats, and of course horsey face (see Melissa's blog). It was great to connect with the Sudbury crew and see many people who I miss.

So too the title of the blog. A few day's ago I was having a bad day. You know the kind of day that you would do everything wrong and then more, the kind of day that makes you want to call in sick and stay in bed for a month, the kind of day that makes you want to...ok ok makes you cry at the drop of a hat. Yes, that was the kind of day I was having. Jason called me from work on my lunch break and could tell that I was having one of those days. I felt much better after talking to him and left to head back to work. The day was SOOOO long and I finally got home, only to find my husband eagerly awaiting my arrival. There is nothing like coming home to the arms of the one that loves you.
Anyways Jason said "why don't you change and come back and we'll go play some games". So I went to change and there on the bed were 5 packs of my favourite gum (doesn't sound like much but you have to understand my love affair with gum) and 1 single rose. A BEAUTIFUL yellow rose with red edges, it was gorgeous and smelt heavenly.
He had stopped at the only flower shop in Thessalon to send me a little pick me up. I was thrilled. It wasn't one little flower that made my day but the thoughtfulness of my fantastic husband.

So life continues to go well for us. We are adjusting ot married life quite well. I love it. Actually that brings me to the reader questionaire for the day.
They say that the first year of marriage is the hardest. Is this true? Why? and what was so hard about the first year? What was the biggest struggle? What was unexpected? etc. etc. I really am very curious to hear your answers so send them in.

Well I am off for the evening. I hope all is well that you all take some time to celebrate the real reason for Christmas
With love
Erin
